back again! had a busy busy few months. finally got the Itch to do some more website maintenance, and do some more writing just to talk about what ive been doing!

so a weekend or two ago i tired the hell out of myself by driving down to visit a friend and crash at his apartment for a day. went to go see a local diy concert (go check out the band snake mirror), and got drunk off my ass, which was definitely needed to help me blow off some steam from the past month. man i want more kahlua. there's a diy metal concert in a few weeks that i also might head down to see, unlike my hometown there's actually a really good music scene there and i have been in desperate need for more concerts to go to lmao. it also means i get to hang out with friends and drink like crazy so that's always a bonus :)

other than that ive been preparing to go back to college in august and failing to get a job still! fuck this job market lol, even my mom's been struggling and she's got 20+ years of retail experience.

and la dispute are making a new album!!! im so fucking excited about it, the stuff they've been releasing is actually some of the best work they've done since wildlife. don't get me wrong, i adore ROTH and Panorama, but GOD wildlife is just such a *generationally* good album and the fact that NOWDTC is slowly reaching that lyrical & musical level is a testament to how good they are as a band. i genuinely wasn't sure if they'd ever top that album but ive been proven VERY wrong. every new song leaves me fucking speechless.

as of writing this the most recent single was environmental catastrophe film and OH MY GOD its incredible. it might be my favorite song of theirs now. 8 minutes of pure emotion and those SCREAMS. GOD those hurt my vocal chords just LISTENING to em they're soooo fucking good. cannot wait for the full release if i had a job right now i'dve already bought out their entire merch store.

i think i need to hurry up and work on my music talk section so i can infodump about how much i like this band, they might be creeping up on my chem for all-time favorite band. and thats a HARD bar to clear.

last thing i wanted to yap about, ive got a few personal projects in the works! not talking about it a LOT yet, but ive been learning renpy in my free time :) it's a good way to introduce my brain to using python, and lets me get one of the stories bouncing around in my brain out in an easy-ish manner. at least, easier than what i originally had planned for it lol. and thats it! have a good... however long amount of time before i update again lol, and thanks for reading <3 (sidenote, i have no idea how to make this div scrollable when i type too much. chhhheck back later when ive figured that out lol)
